If you are a Human Resources professional, interested in employment news, a business owner or employed, you have likely seen news about the focus on gender and racial pay equity. Over the past few years, rare has been the week when I haven’t come across a news item, report, or blog on these topics. As you likely know, private businesses, along with government agencies, are being creative and strategic in implementing other programs as well.
What about governments, the public sector? When it comes to hiring practices, employment law, etc., governments do not just develop, enact and enforce statutes and regulations. All levels of government, from municipal to federal, are also involved in the solicitation of related services and solutions.
